My husband Arthur and I live in the foothills northeast of Los Angeles.   We love dogs and have had dachshunds for decades. Our kids grew up with them and we have always loved the breed.  In 2013, when looking for a companion for our short-haired dapple, Chips, I stumbled upon a picture of a gorgeous long-haired, cream-colored beauty.  It reminded me of a Golden Retriever I had once had, years and years ago.  I knew that our home needed one of these mini-Goldens, and set about to find one.

After months of searching, we found our first English Cream, Margarita (aka Trouble), in Escondido, CA. We knew immediately that she was the puppy for us.  She joined Chips and our cat, Tequila, and was soon a member of our family.  Our kids, and now the grandkids, immediately fell in love with her.

In late 2014, I retired after nearly 40 years with an airline, and now, being able to spend even more time with Margarita, decided that I would love to spread the joy of these creatures and raise them.  I did lots of research, spoke with dozens of breeders until I felt ready to find a partner for Margarita.  We met and now partner with Crown Dachshunds in Colton, CA, and have been using their handsome dogs, Cotton and Percy, for stud service.  And today we are producing gorgeous Cream Colored Dachshunds in our home.  We are small, but we have big plans!
